2. Course Introduction(no more than 500 words)
This online course aims to provide you an overview of the basic concepts and the state-of-the-art of intelligent robot and advanced manufacturing. Global professors and researchers in the related fields will give lectures based on their research. By the end of this course, you’ll be able to: 1) understand what is intelligent robot and/or advanced manufacturing, 2) know what are the key technologies, research hotspots and recent advanced in these fields, 3) know their important industrial and/or daily applications in the current and future society. You may even get your own sparkling ideas on how your major and knowledge can contribute to intelligent robot and/or advanced manufacturing, or how their can be used in your field.

4. Assessment Methods and Marking Criterion
Two options are available (You can choose any one):
1. Class questions (Online discussion with guest lecturers).
2. Team-work project (3-5 students): a text report (required*), a PowerPoint presentation (required*) and an oral presentation (optional, highly recommended) on topics related to robots, intelligent manufacturing and/or artificial intelligence.
